Between 1991-1995 period, 26 patients with status epilepticus were hospitalized. 13 SE patients were selected according to study criteria and evaluated with a hospital based retrospective study. Hospitalization in an intensive care unit and early pentobarbital anesthesia were found as the most important factors effecting the outcome. The most frequently seen factor in SE etiology was stopping the medication with or without (n=3) medical supervision.

1991-1995 yılları arasında 26 olgu, status epileptikus (SE) tan ısıyla izlendi. Olgular, hastane kaynakh retrospektif bir çalışmaya alınarak, çalışma kriterlerine uyan 13 SE hastası incelenerek; SE etyolojisi, uygulanan tedavi ve prognoz yönünden de ğerlendirildi. ~etleri kırmada yoğun bakım hospitalizasyonu ve erken (Tereddütsüz) pentobarbital anestezisinin mortalite ve morbidite üzerinde en etkili faktör olduğu sonucuna varıldı . En sık etyolojik neden, doktor kontrolünde ya da kontrolsüz (n=3) ilaç kesme (% 46) olarak saptand ı .
