Lomber Disk Herni Ameliyatında Hastaların Evde İyileşmelerini Halandırmada Hemşirenin Eğitici Rolünün Etkisi

Our work had been achieved to observe the effect of a planned and effective nurse education on people who had lumbar disc herniation operation to increase recovery at home. This experimental research had been done between February of 1997 and February of 1999. And the patients who took place in this experimental research had been choosen among the patients who had on operation in the Neuroscience service of the Research Hospital of Cumhuriyet University. There had been totally 60 patient in the research. 30 of them vere in the experiment group and 30 of them were in the control group. The patients who were in the experiment group had been trained before and after lumbar laminectomy, but the patient who were in the control group had been giyen only normal hospital service. The experimental group had also taken a training book. The outcomes at this research had been put into practice as 2 question and 2 scales. The outcomes has been evaluated in some different ways. That percentage, chi-square, significance test about the difference between the percentage of independent group, Mann-Whitney U test, the significance test on the difference between the to means and paired two sample test were used. According to the findings of this research it has been found that patients' sociodemographic peculiarities and life conditions have a similarity in the experiment group and control group. In the recovery period problems experienced by the two groups have been compared, besides it has been understood that educated experiment groups' problem average point is lower thatr that of control group. It is also that realised that the great majority of patients in the experiment group arrange their activities properly during recovery, 86.7 per cent of those patients commence to work or housework in 1.5 or 2 months later after they have been operated, the great majority of patients in the control group have prepared their activities incorrectly, 43.3 per cent of those patients have not begun to work or housework yet, 40 per cent of those start to work in 1.5 or 2 months later after they have been operated.
