Vajinismus: Bir Grup Psikoterapisi Sunumu

Vaginismus, which means spasmodic contraction of the outer 113 of vajina during sexual intercourse, can be treated with psychotherapy or using dilators. In this paper, therapy course of 13 patients with vaginismus who have been successfully treated in 9 sessions with short-term insight oriented group psychotherapy in addition to desensitization with finger exersizes, sexual training, and behaviouristic techniques to reduce anxiety has been presented. Compared to mechanical approaches, group psychotherapy enables the patient to improve her selfesteem and interpersonal relationships
