In this article, therapy resistant depression has been discussed as a concept. Finally, it has been concluded that the concept of therapy resistance should be specified in terms of the selected therapy modality. In this contex, under our regular practice, we have included 37 patients into the study, diagnosis made according to the ICD 10 criteria of depressive episode (F32), and evaluated their response and resistance rate to the amitriptyline
