In this study, (it is investigated) the effect of conjugate eye deviation on the short-term mortality is investigated in 70 patients, who were hospitalized in the neurology clinic of Haydarpa şa Numune Hospital and who were diagnosed as having acute cerebrovascular disease. The mortality rate in patients who don't have conjgate eye deviation is 24% and in those who have eye deviation is 45%. This significant difference is considered as a valuable factor in prognosis in the acute phase of the crebrovascular accidents. Hemispheric lesions in CT consist of mostly middle cerebral arter occlusions and basal ganglia hematomas. There are no significant differences between hemorrhages and infarcts related to deviation incidences and mortality rates.
