In this study, investigation of relation and comparison of anxiety, anger style and self-esteem in criminals who were hospitalized judicial observation with a diagnosis of personality disorder according to DSM-IV axis II and C sets and their developmental, family and environmental properties were aimed. For this aim, a group of 55 hospitalized criminal subjects who met the exact criteria for antisocial Personality Disorder according to DSM-IV axis 11, a second group of 25 hospitalized criminal subjects with a diagnosis of another personality disorder according to B and C sets and a control group of 62 standing healty subjects were included irn this study. Subjects were all male. Each subject was giyen an interview questionaire including items of development, family, environment and erime as well as State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAJ), Prolonged Agression-Agression Style Scale (PAASS) and Self-Esteem Inventory (BSÖ). In this antisocial personality group, when compared to the two other groups, a significantly meaningful increase in the relation between frequency of erime and alcohol and substance abuse in family, environment of development residency area, intrafamiliar violence and deterioration of relations, frequency of past erime, aggressive behaviour frequency towarded to themselves and others, and prolonged aggression-aggression expression scores couldn't have been established. Although, mean scores of the same group for prolonged anxiety, introverted anger; control of anger and self-esteem were significantly meaningfid when compared to the control group; the same relation couldn't have been established in comparison to other personality disorders group. It can be suggested that the judicial observation cases with diagnosis of antisocial personality disorder have similiar family and environmental development conditions and their potential for erime is closely associated with their prolonged anger and anger expression.
