This study is planned to determine the prevalance of soft signs which are defined as clinical symptoms of schizophrenia and anxiety disorders and the effect of there signs to the clinical features of schizophrenia and anxiety disorders and if there is any difference between these two disorders regarding to these signs. For this purpose 60 patients with schizophrenia and 40 patients with anxiety disorder are included in our study and identification form PANESS (phy,sical and neurologic assessment form soft signs) is pe ıformed to all of them. The subgroup of soft signs as balance, ısterognosia, movement state, stereotype movements and nystagmus were higher in schizophrenics compared to patients with anxiety disorders. This restalt shows that soft signs are characteristic for schizophrenia.
