VI report a case followed between 27 months and 12 years of age for her typ ıcal absence seizures beginnen at age 4 months. At first axamination when she was 27 months of age, parents reportcd that the child had eye blinkh ıg many times a day since fourth month of her life. After 1 year old, thcy noticed that the eyelid motion were associated with the upward deviation of the eyebalis and the loss of consciousness. Setzures were accompanted by generalized 2,5-3c/s sptke and wave disharges during the routine EEG recordings performed at 27 and 37 months of age. At present, the chıld who has been taking ethosu ıdmide 500 mg a day for nine years, has absence seizures very rarely. 3c/s spike and wave discharges were seen only with intermittant photic stimulation in the last EEG at 12 years old.
