Objective: The objective of this study is to show the effectiveness of intravenous immunglobulin (IVIG) in demyelinating polyneuropathics.
Method: 29 Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) and 6 Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP) patients participated in this study. 23 of 29 GBS patients were observed to have recovered one point in functional scale after the treatment. Recovery was observed in one of the 6 CIDP patients.
Results: We suggest IVIG is effective and safe in GBS.
