Obsesif Kompulsif Bozukluk ve Vücut Dismorfik Bozukluğunun Birlikteliği

The aim of our study is to examine the comorbity of obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) with body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) and the factors influencing this comorbity. One hundred eight patients who were admitted to psychiatıy outpatient clinic of the F ırat University Medical School in January 1994-January 1996 with the diagnosis of OCD according to the DSM-III-R criteria formed our study group. The other psychological disorders accompanied by OCD of the patients were evaluated with DSM-III-R criteria. Zung Depression and Hamilton Anxiety Scales and, SCID H inventory have also been applied to the study group. BDD comorbity with OCD was proven in eight patients (7.4 %). It was determined that these patients were younger than pures OCD diagnosis and all of them were unmarried and high educated. We also determined that the beginning of the symptoms and the administration of them were earlier. Characteristics of schizotypal personality, and high anxiety were con. cluded in these patients
