Distimik Bozuklukta Öfke, Kaygı ve Depresyon Eğilimlerinin Bilişsel Alt Yapısıyla İlgili Bir Çalışma

The aim of the study was to investigate the thinking styles that might be underlying the dispositions trf anxiety, anger and depression among the dysthymic patients. The sample consisted of 31 patients who were diagnosed as dysthymic disorder according to DSM-N. Beck Depression Inventory, Spielberger State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, Spielberger State-Trait Anger Scale and Thinking Styles Scale were used. Results were compared to 31 control subjects without any physical and psychiatric disorder. As a result, the dysthymic patients were found to be more inclined to endorse the thinking styles that encompassed "the necessity that one should prove hisl her self-worth to other" and "one should not make mistakes in order to avoid losing self-worth in the eyes of others". Among the dysthymic group, the thinking styles that might be underlying the dispositions of anxiety, anger and depression showed significant dillerences according to gender.
