Although reasearches has been going on for years, discussions about the etyo-pathogenesis and treatment oj schizophrenia still continue. With the start of usage of new drugs called Atiypical neuroleptics, affectiveness of serotonergic sistem on etyo- pathogenesis of schizophrenia is discussed more now a days. Good results that is gained from atypical neuroleptics and the new theories about the serotonergic sistem motivated us to collect the articles that is published till today and to point out the results that was found from this collection. With this purpose we reviewed 57 articles related to our topic and we discussed the serotonergic hypothesis about schizophrenia and serotonergic drugs that is used related to these hypothesis
