Eighty-one aneurysm cases which wee operated in the last 5 years in our clinic with the beginning of microsurgical interventions, were evaluated retrospectively. The female-maleratio was 0.7. the patients age ranged from 26 to 72 years (mean=53.3 years). Aneurysms were most frequently located on the anterior communicating artery. Multiple aneurysms were present in 9 cases (11.1%) and were giant in 3 (3.7%).

Microsurgical clipping was possible in 79 (97.5%) and wrapping was done in 2 (2.5%) cases. Mortality and morbidity of the whole series was 9.8% and 28.3% respectively. Cases were discussed according to their presenting symptoms and clinical signs, radiological findings, surgical therapy and outcome and were compared to the medical literature.
