In this article, prevalence of MVP was investigated in 12 male and 19 female patients (total) with Generalised Anxiety Disorder, by M-mode and two dimensional echocardiography. Results are compared 40 healty control subjects (24 male and 16 female). 17 (7 male and 10 female) out of 31 with Generalised Anxiety Disorder were diagnosed as MVP (54.83 %). Only 5 (one male and 4 female) out of 40 controls were diagnosed as MVP (12.5 %). MVP was higher significantly in Generalised Anxiety Disorder than healty controls (p <0.001).
