In thalamic hemorrhages, especially of the posterior thalamic region, abnormalaties of gaze and pupil may be found without the involvement of mesencephalon. in this study, 30 patients with primary thalamic hemorrhage confirmed by CT were examined. The neuroophthalmological findings in 17 patients with their relation to clinical and CT findings and their importance in localizing the lesion were reviewed.
