The aim of the study was to investigate the reliability and validity of the "Work-Related Strain Inventory" among health professionals. The sample consisted of 397 health professionals who worked as pharmacist, dentist, physician, nurse and medical technician. The "Work-Related Strain Inventory (WRSI), Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) and the Work Satisfaction Questionnaire (WSQ) were used. As a result the Cronbach alpha coefficient of the WRSI was 0.75 with the item 15 and 0.78 without the item 15. As predicted the correlations of the WRSI with the subscales of MBI and WSQ were significant. This short and easily administered scale may be usefull for appraising levels of work related strain among health professionals.
