Burden on the families of those who have chronic and progressive disorders bring on their .families, and the family attitudes are examined in this study. Severity and the duration of the disorders disability, sociodemographic features,,family's knowledge about the disorders and coping mechanism are examined as determinations of the family burden and attitudes. 32 patients and minumum 5 years story of "Bipolar 1 Disorders", 22 patients with for I year or less "Bipolar I Disorder." , 22 patients with "Rheumatoid Arthritis" and their families were included in 3 this study. As a result, in all groups, it is fond that family burden showed a positive coerelation with the duration, severity of the diseases and the disability.
