Epidemiological studies give important information about the clinical course of epilepsy. However it is noticable that there are a few "regional epilepsy profile" studies in our country. The age of patients were between 1-74 (mean: 25.04). According to beginning decade of the seizures were first decade 34.55 %, second decade 39.70 %, third decade 6.61 %, fourth decade 4.41 % and over 40 year 14.70 %. In 27 % of the patients there were family histories of epilepsy. Pathological findings in EEG 69 % and imaging studies 22 % and 83.8 % of the patients were taking monotherapy. The persentage of the without seizure during one year was found 65.4 %.
