Spontanous vertebral artery dissections are increasingly recognized as a cause of ischemic stroke in young and middle aged adults. The cause of the disease is not clear, and although the course is mostly benign, the management is still controversial. In this article, vertebral artery dissection completely resolving after 3 months anticoagulation demonstrated with angiography in a 38 year old patient with vertebrobasiler symptoms following a transient ischemic attack is prezented and discussed.
