There have been controversial outcomes in studies investigating relationships between the ABO blood groups and schizophrenia. On the other hand, studies on the subgroups and on schizophrenia have been limited. The ABO blood groups of 193 schizophrenic patients and 91 controls are compared and no statistically significant difference have been found between the ABO blood groups of the patients and controls through the data tested with the chi-square method.
