The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between attitude of parents and age, sex and school peıformance of adolescence as the development of critical thinking. Watson-Glaser Scale of Critical Thinking Appraisal, Scale of Parents Attitude and Sociodemographical Infor ıııation form were applied to 1026 students (age ranged 12 to 22) of junior high school, high school and university. The data were analysed by multiple regression and logistic regression methods. It was found that critical thinking ability has increased with age (p<0.0001) and school performance, developed better in girls than in boys (p<0.05) and democratic attitude of mother (p<0.001) was fonud to be a stimulate factor.
