Prematür Ejekülasyon Tanısı ile İzlemeye Alınan Bireylerin Sosyo-Demografik Özelliklerinin Değerlendirilmesi

In this study, we investigated sociodemographic features of patients with premature ejaculation disorder, were investigated to nule out organic and physical pathologies. Later in psychiatry clinic, detailed psychiatric interview was made. Patient diagnosed as premature ejaculation disorder according to DSM IV diagnostic criteria, were included in the study. All twenty patients were from Denizli area. 85 % were maried and 45 % had graduated from univercity. Physical and sexual abuse during adolesance period had not been reported by 95 % of patients, 80 % had learned first sexual information, from friends or books. First sexual experience were with animals at 50 % of patients and, 75 % had first intercourse with other sex at commanhouses. 65 % had erectile dysfunction too. Evaluation of STA1 (state trait anxiety envantory) grade revealed high score for both state and trait anxiety points. This was a preliminary study on the sociodemographic features of patients with premature ejeculation disorder. Althought patient number was not enough to give sociodemographic features if these patients it still gived us clues and showed us the need for further investigation.
