Research and clinical observations frepuently point to a co-morbidity of substance and alcohol abuse. Cigarette, alcohol, and substance abuse generally begins in adolesence, and the controversy on the subject that these disorders among adolescents are getting more frequent continues. In this research conducted on a non-clinical population of adolescents, 1167 workers and 1055 students aged between 11-22, correlations between alcohol, cigarette, and substance consumption and their relations with self image, depression, and anxiety are considered. This was done by using Offer Self Image Questionnaire, Beck Depression Inventory, and State-Trait Anxiety Scale. 17 % of the subjects reported cigarette smoking, 6.7% used alcohol, and 2.9% used varying substances. Findings are discussed in light of these subjects' scores on Offer Self Image Qeustionnaire, Beck Depression Inventory, and State-Trait Anxiety Scale.
