Şizofreninin Postpsikotik Depresif Bozukluğu / Postşizofrenik Depresyonda Sertralin-İmipramin Kıyaslamalı Çalışması

In this research it was aimed to investigate the reliability and efficacy of sertralin and imipramine in post psychotic depressive disorder in schizopnrenialpost schizophrenic depression in a comparable way. Diagnosis were made according to the DSM-IV and ICD-10 criterias. In order to differentiate depressif symptoms from the negative symptoms, Simpson-Angush scale and SANS were used. In order to discriminate placebo effect 10 days of placebo treatment period was applied. Severity of depression was followed up by using Hammilton Depression Scale and Clinical Global İmpression Scale. In each group there were 20 people and to each group 50 mg/day sertralin, 150 mg/day imipramin doses were giyen and patients followed up to 5 weeks. During diagnosis and treatment period single-blind approach was used. As a result it was found that sertralin's effect started earlier but bouth of the drugs were effective and sertralin had clear advantages to imipramine from the sense of side effects and also the risk of relapse of schizophrenia.
