Yatılı Okul Eğitiminin işitme Özürlülerin Ruh Durumlarına Etkileri

To know about the psychological effects o residental school on hearing-impaired/deaf students, we applied SCL- 90-R symptom-distress check list-revised on 80 deaf student of whom 17 were residental and 63 mainstreamed. We found that deaf residental students had higher average of syn ıptom indexes than deaf students who lived with family. We evaluated the results and possible factors and compared with other studies in this field. We concluded that residental school education might be harmful for deaf students.
